"Trauma" will replicate the high energy and blood-and-guts of "ER" in a story about paramedics in San Francisco.

Sit down and have a cold one cowboys and girls - this is Hollywood - not a documentary on how wonderful we think we are. Enjoy this show for what it is - entertainment. Everyone has a hard on for Emergency yet if you watch it closely you'll see Johnny and Roy squirting their bicarb across the street (how much good did that drug ever do?) and Dr Bracket putting up a head Xray and declaring that the patient has a pneumothorax - get over yourselves and have some fun with this show.

I just watched the first 20 minutes of this show and that was all I could stomach. This show is a real joke and a slap in the face to everyone in the profession. I for one would love to see a show that gave an accurate portrayal of the EMS/Fire profession but I am sick of all these fantasy land depictions that make us look stupid and promote false information to the public in the name of sensationalism. I hope this show does not air a second episode.

Watched the first Episode. Yes it is hyped up but COME ON PEOPLE!! why do the women in EMS have to be sleeping around? Who in their right mind would have sex in the back of the unit?

It's NBC's (1970's classic) Emergency meets E.R.

Just another show about how some people view our profesion. Of course we know whats real.
But, hey, who wants another hero?

Wow this show looks like an even worse version of third watch. just from the preview i watched has nothing to do with what we do in the real world. we don't have choppers crashing everyday. and we don't pick up ppl in the city when its faster to drive them to the hospital. I think this is going to be a hyped up crappy version of what EMS is and does. I will not watch it.

I liked saved on TNT too! It was only on for one year, wasn't it? I'll give this one a try, it could be good. How about Rescue 911 - I used to watch that all the time when I was little.

Will give it chance..... I am just hoping its not like that one show about 16 years ago with the paramedic getting to the patient who does not have a pulse in a tunnel under the streets..... its filling up with water....so he tells his fire guys at the count of 3 to grab ahold of some piping above them in the tunnel, lift their legs out of the water and he charges up his defib and does a handstand on his chest and defibrillates his pt and saves his life.... come on...... after seeing that I know that show would tank. Would like to see a credible Paramedic show .... with action....and interesting medical calls, and consult with the Paramedics. As a Paramedic I find it frustrating when they do tv shows they go to the writers,,, not the paramedics, when they build an ambulance they go to engineers....not the medics..... when they build an ambulance station, they consult architects not the medics....I agree with the the comments below.... LISTEN TO THE MEDICS.... we all have some interesting stories without fireballs in the sky on each shift.

that's going to be one of the worst medical shows of all time for EMS professionals or lay people. Bring back Emergency!
