My name is Jusup Lowry. I am reaching out to EMS folks in my region to make them aware of some on-line educational offerings for recertification training.
Make sure when considering on-line training that:
- The curriculum has CECBEMS accreditation (or Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services approval).
- This means the curriculum has undergone extensive reviewal by the governing body of the National Registry and has been given a course approval number.
- It will ultimately be up to you to know if there are any current caps on how many hours of on-line training you are allowed.
We at CentreLearn have over 200 hours available for CEU for BLS through ALS levels of service, all with CECBEMS approval. There is even OSHA training and critical care (or CCEMT-P) content for flight nurses.
To access these courses, you can go to www.centrelearn.com, and click on the picture on the right-hand side of the screen called "Rapid CE - CE for individuals". This will take you to a separate webpage where you can register.
You will be awarded one free course (1 free hour) for registering. The free course we are currently featuring is on "Geriatric Assessment Challenges". Each course after your free one is only $6.95/ea. or a one-year subscription for $59.95. So if you find yourself needing more than 9 courses, it's cheaper to get the one-year.
Please let me know how if this is a valuable resource for you, and if so ...share it! I look forward to hearing from you should you have any questions. My contacts are below.
