Oh yeah and the original question of dispatching... I dispatched for about 1 1/2yrs for Larimer County Sheriff's Office, did mainly LE dispatch and some fire/rescue/EMS side. Did A LOT of 911 calls and EMDing. Then when I was injured I was working for Rural Metro Ambulance in Aurora who terminated me three days after I was hurt. I was still within my 6mo probationary period there. I think I actually prefer LE dispatching over private ambulance but I have enjoyed all sides of dispatching... even crazy 911 calls.

I'm not completely done with dispatch. I will probably actually pursue that fulltime again, but I still want to stay inolved with the field crews somehow. My passions are still in firefighting and EMS. I'm not sure exactly which direction I want to go now. My AAS is in FST so I am considering working towards going to OSU and getting my degree in fire protection engineering and designing sprinkler systems.

I do not have any REAL teaching experience other than preiously having my CPR instr cert and the little very little time I was an FTO before I got injured, however I spoke with Jeff Force and he's going to try and start working me in as a lab assistant and see where we go from there. I have a little different angle on being a basic since most of my experience has been with rural transport agencies which are primarily BLS. From Limon our closest trauma center is Denver, when I was working in Burlington we would have to transport to their very small ER, stabilize while we waited for a jet out of Garden City, KS. I won't start doing any lab assistant stuff till next semster at the earliest seeing as I definitally have to get some things in life back in line.

Any ideas of how to stay involved would be awesome, I already feel like I'm falling so far from my guys on the service. I'm hoping to still continue as an FTO out there and be able to do some of the initial orientation with the newbies

Hey did you make it back home from Bismark yet? Just talked to Grill, sending him and invite to the site. I reminded him of his promise to you about riding. He is not gonna make it this year.
