Workplace fatality epidemic kills more than 50,000 in U.S. & Canada

Deadly workplaces are killing Canadians and Americans at an unprecedented rate, resulting in 42,882 occupational fatalities in the U.S. and 10,743 in Canada between 2000 and 2010.*

New ads urge drivers to yield to emergency responders

Stay alert behind the wheel and pull over when emergency vehicles approach. That’s the message from a series of new public service announcements (PSAs) from the John Petropoulos Memorial Fund (JPMF).



The print PSAs – which will be published in newspapers, magazines and online – depict an emergency vehicle in a driver’s side mirror, along with the words “Stay Alert” and “Pull Over.” They encourage drivers to yield the right of way to emergency vehicles that have their lights and sirens… Continue
