We caught a call right out of the gate Christmas morning and were busy all day long. Didn't have a single BS call so not a bad day at work. - Im familiar with the process. As a high school kid I worked at Mass General in the ER. Got to know many of the EMT's and medics of that time. I currently work in a city of approx. 100,000 mostly middle and lower class. We also have our gun shots and stabbings not nearly the amount that you all see, but enough. Our Union is Teamsters local 279. Starting pay is 13.16 hr., which is good for this area. Cost of living is reasonable unlike Boston sense the rental cap was removed. Thats why we moved here. The wife is from here.

- How is Boston EMS, I was born and raised in South Boston. My EMT-Basic class was taught by Kent Scarna in 1997. Moved to Illinois 5 years ago and decided to go to Paramedic school.
