- Hi. WELCOME I am a Sea Kayaker and sea kayak marathon racer (18 miles) and assistant kayak guide. Now a canoer too. I absolutely love paddling on Lake Superior. Working-out and personal fitness is a regular part of my life. I injured my back several years ago, but now you'd never know it. I swim in the winter and enjoy snow shoeing and XC skiing up in the northstar state of Minnesota. This year will be the 17 annual snowshoe Expedition up on the Canadian border just south of Thunder Bay in January. A 12 mile trek into the great forests and woods up in the Grand Portage region of Lake Superior. I grew up out West-- California, Nevada, Montana and Wyoming. I started my medic career as a park ranger in Yellowstone. Whereever I speak and teach, I always look for the adventure. I have alot of energy, some say its vitamins or the Cymbalta, which I take for back pain, or rather-I have no back pain. I love dancing and hot sauce. I write for EMSResponder.com from a Dunn Bros coffee shop in Anoka, MN (and speak at many EMS Expo conferences). I dig traveling, as long as there is an outdoor adventure and of course, some good Mexican food! I am a CAL POLY graduate at SAN LUIS OBISPO. I have started canoeing and am learning the techniques of canoe racing or performance paddling. I can "launch" most anywhere in less than a hoursnotice cause my gear is packed and ready to go. I also love bicycling, and am a 2009 National EMS Memorial Bike Rider muddyangels.org
I also teach an expedition first aid kit class for outdoor enthusiasts and back injuries and back fitness classes personally.
Professionally, I study and teach classes on SAFETY such as driving, emergency driving, airbags, hybrid electric vehicles, freeway safety and airbag injuries to name a few.

I have some wonderful pictures which i have shown to a lot of people here in ireland. At the moment i am getting ready for our own cycle here in ireland. It is only a one day event over 55 miles.
