Just celebrated my 36th anniversary as a firefighter, and 34th as an EMT.
Education
AA in Liberal Arts, BS in Fire Science, Firefighter II and III, Fire Officer I , Instructor I, II and III, Hazardous Materials First Responder and Technician, Fire Apparatus Engineer. Emt- Basic (since 1975), Paramedic (since 1977), ACLS, PHTLS, CDLS, aome AHLS.
Interesting facts about you
Second generation firefighter, on both sides of the family. Although "ambulance drivers" in the 1940's were much different than today's EMS workers, I'm second generation in that, also. With a stepdaughter in EMT training in Texas, that's about to become 3 generations.

Also got 2 of those mysterious creatures known as grandchildren running around. Nathan, Anthony, has Grampa told you lately how much he loves you?

no.. car 1 & 2 were cadi's in 1970 / 71, another was an ambulance and removal car, one was a rent-out to area funeral homes also,,,,

... i was there when John was alive, i lived in their house next door. bud lived on peoria st. boots lived off halsted and the river. we had 3 cars and a removal car and a oxygen van... that's it. bud was still working downtown with boots

Yes, we are fine! The Fire Danger Level on the Angeles National Forest is currently "Extreme." It was raised to "Extreme" (Level 5 of 6) from " Very High" (Level 4) on October 1, 2009. The next month will be stressful for our firefighters. Hopefully the earthquakes stay away!
