I sent a comment to Jennifer and thought I would make the same comment here. For the ride, maybe a black arm band with a star of life on it. If time permits, with Greg's name above the star of life. Just a thought. Please let me know what your thpught's are about this idea..........

If anyone's interested in sending their regards, Greg's mother's address is as follows:
Doreen Dwrozynski
2 White Pine Oval #TB
Hanover, NH 03755
She said that anything that anyone wants to send is very welcome, and she's grateful that so many people cared about her son. I don't know his father's contact information, and haven't been able to be in any contact with him.

As for the funeral, they're planning to have services on Friday. I'll post more details as they become available.

I've been trying to process this since I learned about it and I still don't know what or how to feel. I can tell you that I'm shocked. I felt like someone had taken me out at the knees. Borat was one of the people I was most looking forward to seeing again this year. I was going to pester him into telling me all about his trip to Ireland. I'm at a loss. I have no words. I'm profoundly sad and angry and... I don't know what. ??? I hope you've found peace my friend. I will miss you.

Hello to all,
As of right now we are not sure of the funeral arrangements. My boss met yesterday with Greg's dad and it is still being sorted out. They are looking at wed for some sort of memorial in Manchester nh. I will post as soon as I know more. As I'm sure others will as well. Talk to you all soon.

Like everyone else, I was shocked and saddened by the news and circumstances of Greg's death. We each have our own memories of Greg - mine are the discussions we held on the ride last year about the problems and opportnities managing and working in a system with a mix of career and volunteer EMS providers. His insights were priceless

There is an old camp song that starts out "There is a hole in the bottom of the sea and proceeds to describe what is in it. When a friend dies, there is a hole in the bottom of our hearts that is filled with memories.

RIP Greg

Greg was always looking for more people to join him in with this race. he spoke about it so much and so highly he had me ready to sign up just from working with him on one shift. And i'm not in shape. I can not ride this year but i will look into it for next year. Greg was one of a kind and loved by all. He will be missed by many. RIP Greg.

I am shocked, surprised and saddened by this. I read his last posting-the poem only minutes after he left it and I thought how odd......but I didn't follow up. I wish I had. I never met Greg but we exchanged a few emails and he helped me and answered alot of my questions about the ride. My heart goes out to his family and close friends. I wish I had gotten the chance to meet him.

I can only reinforce the words wrote about Greg. I met Greg last year on the ride and like George said Greg was a tremendous motivator for everyone. He rode his heart out and was a friend to all. Greg was so happy to be a representative in Ireland, you could feel his pride in his posting about the ride over there. I consider him a friend as well as a fellow Muddy Angel which made him family! I am saddened by our loss, he will be missed!!

Jackie and George, The board will discuss the ideas you all have suggested and we will let you know what we will do. I agree with you both and we will do something along those lines.

I'm in some contact with his mother, who just found out this morning. I'll ask her for a mailing address next time I talk to her, also I'll post something when funeral arrangements have been made if it is open to the public (and I don't see why his family would object to people who knew him on the bike ride attending).

As far as funeral arrangements go, I think that Greg would have liked it if we do something for him in Roanoke, after the EMS memorial service at some point. At least something like an open house, or something to remember him by on the ride. He considered everyone on the bike ride like family, and I think that he would have wanted to have some kind of funeral type arrangements done in a place where those on the ride could come and be a part of it, even if it's not a part of the ride itself.
