LOL @ Doug...and probably your nose closed too if that were the case!  In all seriousness though - barely taking enough regular clothes and Class A that fit into a carry on.  All else is in bike case - and yes - plenty of skibbies and socks to keep clean and fresh!

Two pairs of underwear, 3 pairs of socks, one pair cycling shorts too much? LOL

We worked together great on the CO ride (guess I am STILL a newbie as I haven't done the East Coast ride) - had a lot of great coaching/help/teamwork from all.  The nice thing about that trip is EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING was in the car.  I'm at 60lbs with the bike/bike case and it's packed with what I am considering essential. Heck if I could bring the whole garage (both of them as the back garage houses the caddy ambulance) I would, but alas whats fitting into the bike case, laptop case, and carry-on is what's going make it this trip.

Tips for newbies

a.  stand still, an oldbie will lift you up

b.  watch out for a big guy with balding red hair, he will be at the back of the pack.

I love Rod's line.

Rod,  email me georgerice@earthlink.net cause we have to put the info on a poster before next week, oh, it is next week.
