EMS United

Greetings folks.

I wanted to get the word out early, I am planning a 2 day ride in the Southern Maine / NH area to take place the weekend of 9-10 (sat) and 9-11 (sun)

Big thanks go to Robin Weeks who is helping me again this year in planning the event. More details to follow.

So please join us, we had around 10 folks last year and it was a great time.

Hoping to do it again. Great ride. Scheduled to work a 24 the 10th so will see.
I'm in for at least one day (building a house).
Carl, Tony and all.. Its my hopes to have the most riders on Sunday 9-11 being the 10th Anniversary of the that terrible day.

Great way to honor the 10th Anniversary of 9-11!  Hope I can join ya!

Issac you already know I am there :)

Greetings Friends. I just wanted to pass a quick word on that the ride is coming together very nicely. I am working on the route with Robin's help and I must add also that Robin again this year has lots of good things in planning for us. With the 10th anniversary of 9-11 I ask those who can only ride one day to please ride with us on that day. I am open to suggestions on things and hope for a good turnout this year.

For logistics I need to start getting a head-count. I ask for a small donation to off-set the cost of fuel and food provided. More details will be provided in the next 2 weeks now that I can focus on the ride. The route is looking good, Robin has it planned from Wells inland to Rochester, and I am working on the Portland to Wells section.

I hope your able to make make and I am hoping to double our numbers from last year. Again this is a laid back ride as last year. The original intent was to just get together to ride and I decided we should ride on that day to honor those we lost on 9-11.

Please let me know if your able to ride and your needs, I am more than willing to help out.

Hi Skippy,

I'm in for the ride. Just let me know the details!

Jen

Alright so here is the details (sorry a few days late)

We will depart Saturday Sept 10th from 176 Main Street in South Portland (same place as last years ride) Vehicals are allowed to be left overnight under your own risk. We will ride at approx 0815 and I will be there at 0715. Lunch is on our own (will have coolers for those in need of one) We will stop at the Hannaford, they have a salad and wing bar plus the whole store too.

Overnight at Robin's for those interested, a few beds, floor space for air mattresses and outside for those who wish to tent out. Area Hotels are available also and we can provide transportation to and from. Dinner and breakfast will be provided at Robin's as well. We will have at least 2 support vehicals with some awesome support staff. They can haul overnight gear to and from Portland for those staying the night.

We are asking for a 20 dollar donation to cover the cost of food and fuel.

The route has not been finalized yet, I am working on the Portland to Wells leg and Robin is hosting the Wells to Portsmouth leg.

We are in talks with some local departments for hosting a brief service and will be pausing Sunday 9-11 to recognize moments of silence for the 10th Anniversary.

This will be held rain or shine (unless we are getting a hurricane)

Mileage for Saturday will be 60-80 and Sunday being about 60. I plan to have the ride done sunday by 4-5 to allow travel time for those coming from afar.

Please confirm to me so I can plan according (days your riding, overnight plans etc and special needs)

Really want a good turn-out for the event and we already have more than last years ride.

Thanks again, and really looking forward to riding with you all again soon. Skippy.
