Thanks everyone for your input...we are getting used to the new system up here and i came up with a refusal form for out service. thanks again hope everyone enjoys summer

does anyone know if there is an I/C class this summer anywhere? The one I was going to go to got cancelled.

Just thought I would pass on some info to everyone. There will be an Advanced Wilderness Life Support class held in Manistique, MI in late September. 3 day class, EMS and Nursing credits available. They are still looking for people to attend. Check out www.awls.org if your interested. Looks like its going to be an interesting class.

I work for two places that use two totally different systems. the fire dept uses accumedweb which is a most horrible system. You cant do anything on it until you get to the hospital and it is all drop down menus.

Now at corunna EMS we us the image trend system which is absolutely awsome. This system allows you to put in vitals on the fly with just the touch of the screen and times as well. all proceedures are the same way too. We jsut started it about 2 months ago and there are still some bugs to work out as far as billing goes but there is a whole signature window for all your dr , refusal,and billing signatures I love it .

Hi Eric, We at Houghton Lake EMS use a form to have the pt. sign. It is the form we used to use instead of the computer. It is kinda redundant but our computer program do not allow the pt. to sign into the computer. We use Ortivas.

Hello everyone. We just started using electronic PCR up in the the UP. I am wondering what everyone thinks if ePCR. I am also wondering what you do about signed refusals since you do your reports on a computer now. Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks, hope everyone is enjoying spring!!

Alot has changed in the area since 07 . AMR is no more down here. If you are looking for higher pay but all transfers a superior is running a large portion of the detroit metro area. As far as Flint goes, You still have DVA (now known as GCEMS) stat , medstat and a newer company that is growing is called Universal ambulance. Swartz and patriot ambulance . That is just a start of a list if you want or need more let me know . welcome back to michigan!
