Welcome to the group Kevin, I'm glad to see this group growing... but very sorry that there are enough people out there for it to grow. I have been taken off the line completely. I have an incomplete C6-7 spinal cord injury that I got when I went headfirst into the wall playing hockey.

I am sorry to hear about your losses, we know them all too well. The agency I was working full time for at the time fired me the next dat... mailed me a certified letter while I was laying in the ICU

Thanks, I don't know if you could tell from the picture, but in October 2009 I was involved in a hockey accident, off duty obviously and became a C6-7 incomplete quadriplegic. My agency has been so supportive and luckily I was able to start dispatching for one of the local combo FD's, but unfortunately neither of these pay anything. I totally understand... as much as I love being around the guys it's very difficult to not be out on the run doing what I love... but slowly but surely things work out.
I also understand the knee pain, before I was injured I also had two surgeries on my right knee and never had any true relief then only they could find was alot of scar tissue but no injury. Wish you the best and keep your head up

Tracy: Thanks for joining. I know it's a baby group right now but I hope to be able to have it grow and be able to support each other through the hell that comes with getting injured. Can I ask what brought you to this page?
