Jolene.... The acceptance is mostly based on what IL local EMS System you might be affiliating with. Otherwise there are several conferences that usually apply for IDPH-EMS Site Codes, which will be honored on a statewide basis for Con Ed. The IL-IEMA Conference does, as well as the IL EMT Association. All IL EMS Agencies have to apply for a site code also for their annual Con. Ed schedules, which will also be honored in most cases.

Signed up as a medical volunteer for the 2010 Chicago marathon...as a result I applied for my Illinois lisence(I also plan on possibly moving to the state soon)..have been looking on line for continuing education opportunities in the state and am not having much luck...I know WEMSA counts as education in Illinois but are there any other conferences or education opportunities in Illinois that I can attend???

Hello fellow EMT's. The Tilton Ambulance Service hosts an annual fund raiser, this will be the 4th year we have done this and our event has grown from 300 people the first year to over 3000 in attendance last year. This year looks very promising to break last years attendance. Check us out at www.tiltonrednecks.com

80% hero, 20% stand up comedian. Looking for a dependable AHA CPR/FA instructor to help teach classes in Chambana and surrounding area. $100/gig. These clients are corporate accounts so we need someone with "strokability". If you take yourself too seriously, please do not apply. Contact me at vital.education@att.net. Will train.

Rob - you can get a copy of the symposium brochure on the NAEMSE webpage (www.naemse.org). There should be info on ride-alongs.

Hi, I am a Canadian paramedic and educator. I will be attending the NAEMSE symposium in Schaumburg in Sept 2010 and hope to do a rideout in either Chicago or Schumburg while I am there. If you can suggest a contact for me that would be great!

I received the information December 30th from an EMS Advisor/Consultant to the State of IL and he is also a EMS Educator and an EMT-P. It is my understanding this NEWS is just out to the EMS community and in his e-mail it states about 100 have been requested. So, pass the word around and visit the hot-link below.
