Using the Ked device for hip injuries?

we have been doing this in michigan for quite a few years. Mostly because none of us over here can afford fancier commercial products (if any even exist) It works great!

I have done this before and has worked great. I also have used the KED for peds with back pain as it fits peds just right. It wraps around and secures them like a peds board would but used KED instead.

we had one of our EMT's use it for that the other day he said it worked great i hadn't heard of it till then

The KED works great for hip fx. I have used it a few times... I had a pt in an MVC that I had to apply it the right way and I had to stop and think about how to do it!!!!

I come from Michigan and had used the ked for this .The frist time I did this in the state of LA they thought I was nuts but it works well.

I had an elderly pt that had a hip replacement in sept is came outmof place last month tonight she was in way too much painn to even let me try. I have never had success using it for hip fracture.b
