Paramedic to LPN, is turning care over to an LPN considered abandonment/negligence?

I've wondered this myself for years and haven't been able to get a solid answer. You thoughts?

Short lawyer answer - no, it is not at all a problem. You take the patient to the facility you're supposed to take them. You turn them over to the staff that they provide to receive them. It's not negligent because it's a "reasonable" thing to do. Reasonable and prudent paramedics do this every day.
