IEMSA is working for legislation to protect EMS caregivers

Indiana EMS Association IEMSA is working for legislation to protect EMS caregivers

"The IEMSA is working with Senator Pat Miller to create legislation that will help protect EMS caregivers. Currently, EMS is not protected from assult and/or assult and battery in the same manner as Police and Fire. We are working to make this a misdemeanor. More to follow on this as the legislative sessions begin. Let me know your thoughts!"

Why make it a misdemeanor?  That gets you a scolding!  Make it a felony - make it just like assault on a law enforcement officer!
