Does anyone know of a college that does a Bachelors in EMS? In FL we have none. I am going to have to go online.

I believe that George Washington does. And there is a slew of on line schools that have programs as well
My college only offers a 2 year program for medic and 1 semester for basic.
Wesley, I am already a Medic with an AS in EMS and an AA General. I need to move on and get the Bachelors in EMS. However, so many online schools have a bad name and the Bachelor is just a paper. I would like one that is reputable.

Will, I willlook into George Washington, do you know if it is reputable?

Thanx guys for helping me out.

Check with University of Maryland Baltimore and Northwestern University. I know Baltimore does cause I spoke with one of the professors last night and he was telling me about it. I had a friend that got his and I am pretty sure it was from Northwestern. Hope these help, Good Luck.

I looked at the Unviersity of Maryland as you advised, however it is a Fire Science degree from what the website says. I am only a Paramedic/Professor,not on the fire side. Thank you for your help ;-)

My program director has been getting her Bachelors from UT San Antonio. She has been pretty happy with her courses. The EMS classes have been online and she has taken some of the other classes locally.

I know University of New Mexico offers a BS program.http://hsc.unm.edu/som/emsacad I am not sure it is it online. Eastern NM University www.enmu.edu offers a MBA with a emergency medical focus I believe that is mostly online.

Hope this helps

Thank you guys~ I really appreciate the help. I am so worried about the whole "online" experience that I went today to UCF Univerisity of Central Florida. THey have a B.S. in Health Administration. Nice thing is I have all the prerequisites, I only need 48 more core credit classes (3 semesters, four classes each semester) and I will be done. Thank you all for your inputs. Wish me luck lol ♥

I actually had a rep from George Washington University come and meet with me, and they seem to be on the ball. They accept a lot of credits that have to do our field (CPR-I EMT-I/C and so on). I am planing on going after their Emergency Medical Management BS the only thing I can say is there is a lot of pre-rec courses you have to take, but besides that is sounds good.
Concordia University Chicago is suppose to have a Bachelors Degree in EMS starting for the 2009-2010 school year. Unfortunately they do not have anything listed on the website about it.
Thanks Mike~
I guess I am going to have to just get the BS of Health services Administration at UCF.

Girl there is no college in Fl that has the BS in EMS. However University of Florida has it and from what I heard is extremely good and reputable. I already apply. Hope is useful info.
